Dimitar first became interested in value investing after taking a postgraduate class taught by a successful value investor. After reading Margin of Safety by Seth Klarman, which was used as an introductory text to the class, he was convinced by the simplicity of investing in securities trading at a discount to underlying value, and its long history of delivering strong investment results with lower downside risks. He applies this philosophy daily to finding opportunities in the Emerging Markets space.
