Seerat’s interest in investing began at home. From an early age, she was exposed to the inner workings of her family’s business, where conversations about long-term vision, day-to-day operations, and building a brand were part of everyday life. Seeing how these decisions shaped the business over time sparked her curiosity about what enables companies to succeed and create value.

Given its focus on understanding businesses from the bottom up, quality/value investing was a natural fit for Seerat. In her role as an Investment Analyst, she contributes to Burgundy’s disciplined research process by looking beyond short-term noise to focus on the fundamentals that shape a business’s long-term value.
