Mitchell Rothman

Mitchell grew up surrounded by business because his parents’ retail operations were a common topic at the dinner table. He carried his passion for business to the Ivey Business School where in his fourth year he took a course on value investing and was immediately hooked by its simplicity and rational logic. He particularly resonated with the ideas of thinking like a business owner and adopting a long-term view. Having played competitive rugby throughout his life, Mitchell also relishes in the idea that through rigorous research and disciplined behaviour he can take advantage of the market’s volatility. He believes that Burgundy is a well-suited environment that will enable him to practice his love for quality/value investing and provide the learning opportunities to continuously improve.
