Julie Tanna

Shaped by her parents’ involvement in the industry, Julie has been immersed in the world of finance since childhood. Surrounded by financial news and discussions about various companies, she developed a passion for comprehending the inner workings of businesses, particularly those she interacted with daily. This led her to pursue a double degree in Business and Financial Mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Over time, she discovered a genuine enjoyment in analyzing businesses from a holistic perspective. Drawing on techniques acquired from both her degrees, Julie’s understanding of the qualitative and quantitative aspects of businesses enables her to formulate well-informed theses. Julie also grew up playing tennis and believes her development as an athlete has helped her remain strategic and driven, both on the court and in a business setting. As someone passionate about long-term investing and continuous learning, Julie believes her interests are well aligned with Burgundy’s philosophy and approach.
