In all aspects of life, Ian enjoys practicing thoughtful analysis. The continued application of these principles is part of what makes being a generalist investment research analyst a great fit. Ian saw a unique opportunity at Burgundy for long-term learning that fit this philosophy. Given the chance to join, he jumped at it although it meant leaving behind his pursuit of a second degree in mathematics. It was one of the more successful trades of his career thus far.
